David Moyes: Real Sociedad boss wondered how to beat Barcelona

David Moyes admits he had always wondered how to "possibly get a result" against Barcelona after his Real Sociedad side beat the Catalans 1-0.

In his first match against the four-time European champions, the former Manchester United boss guided Sociedad to just a second La liga win under him.
Moyes said: "The win feels similar to the early days at Everton.
"How was I ever going to get a result against the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United at that time?"
Jordi Alba's second-minute own goal proved decisive as Sociedad's brave defensive effort stopped Barcelona from going top of La Liga, afterReal Madrid's loss at Valencia earlier in the day.
The victory moved Moyes's men up four places to 13th in the league with the Scot losing just once in six league games since being appointed in November.
Moyes was sacked by Manchester United only 10 months after succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson.
"We've talked about Barcelona at my past clubs, at Everton and at Manchester United. I've watched them with admiration and we used to wonder how to possibly get a result against them," said Moyes.
Barcelona have lost three times in La Liga this season
"Tonight I had the opportunity; it was a long night, we scored early and I would like to have given them a harder game. We did make it very difficult for them, though.
"I would like to be competing against Barca, Real Madrid, Atletico, Valencia and Sevilla at the top of the league. To do that we have to make the squad stronger."
Barcelona manager Luis Enrique surprised many with his team selection, leaving Lionel Messi, Neymar and Dani Alves on the substitutes' bench as La Liga resumed after a fortnight's winter break.
"I expected Neymar and Messi to maybe be on the bench," said Moyes. "I've managed a very big club, you have a big squad and a lot of games. The big games come later for these teams - April time - and you have to give the big players rest to keep them fresh for then.
"I thought Luis Enrique made the right decision and the players that played tonight are really good players. He knows his squad the best and in his position I would probably have done the same thing.
"The winter break should definitely be considered in the Premier League. We're able to give the players a week off, then we came in and trained for a week before tonight. It would be great for the teams in England and great for the managers as well, to feel they could have a break after that hectic Christmas period."

How to Use Airtel Unlimited (2GB) on your System Starting from 1st of July 2013

It is no longer news that we have been enjoying the airtel blackberry internet subscription plan on our PCs and other devices. The most common blackberry plans which people use are the blackberry social one month plan that offer 1GB of data at the cost of #1,200 (Subscription code: send BSM to 440) and the blackberry complete one month plan which offers same 1GB of date at the cost of #1,400 (subscription code: send BCM to 440); till date, those two plans mentioned above are still blazing like wide fire on system and other devices you can think of as far as you can set up the Access Point Name (APN) to the normal Airtel one which is internet.ng.airtel.com.

The most interesting part of it is that last month being June, Airtel decided to introduce another blackberry plan known as blackberry unlimited, though called unlimited, this very plan offers 2GB of data for one month and at the cost of #1,500 (subscription code: dial *440*16#), to embellish the whole thing, airtel decided to allow some of their subscribers to enjoy additional benefit of free bonus of extra month with an additional 2GB of data for same #1,500 blackberry unlimited plan (subscription code: dial *440*161#), which means that with this plan, some selected SIM are given 4GB of data to enjoy for 60 days with just #1,500.

Airtel bb unlimited
As of last month that the blackberry unlimited plan was introduced, one can still use it to surf the internet on any device just the same way as other plans mentioned above. But it has come to notice that at the start of this new month of July, the blackberry #1,500 unlimited plans only connects seamlessly when used only on blackberry phones, that is to say it no longer connect just like that with other devices and on system. The common complains that people give is that it connects, but without access to the internet, meaning that one can no longer browse with it just like that on a system. So if you want to continue enjoying your browsing with it on PC and other devices, just follow the simple step below and you will be able to browse again on your system without any more hitches;

===>  Load additional #100 airtime on the SIM that you used to subscribe for the #1,500    blackberry unlimited plan.

===>    Dial the code *141*11*1# to top up 10mb to it.

===>    Connect now with your modem to system or any other device and enjoy. That is all

How to connect to Airtel 3.75G Data Plans

To access Airtel 3.75G internet you need to be in a 3.75G coverage area. Although Airtel claims they offer high speed internet in 36 states, it is important to note that the superfast 3.75G internet will be limited to major towns and cities within those states. Hence high speed internet will not be available in all locations in the said states.

You also need to have a compatible 3G device like a 3G feature phone or smartphone, tablet, router, or modem. Hence being on an Airtel 3G coverage area is not enough, your device needs to be 3G compliant as well. If you have a 3G device, it will indicate whether you are on Airtel 3G coverage area or not. If you see indications like 3G or 3.5G on your phone or tablet, it means that your phone or tablet is at least 3G compatible and can gain some speed boost on Airtel Internet networks.

If you are using a modem, you will see the indication WCDMA instead of EDGE on bottom left corner of your modem software display interface. This tells you can browse internet at high speed in the area. Note that although Airtel claims its network supports 42Mbps, you are limited by the capacity of your device. Some 3G devices can only offer 3.6Mbps while some will handle 7.2Mbps and a few 14.4Mbps.

Once on an Airtel HSPA+ Internet coverage area you can start browsing once you have credit on your device. However, it is a good idea to get an airtel internet plan for a more affordable access.

Boko Haram seizes army base in Nigeria town of Baga

A Nigerian soldier on patrol in Baga last year
The militant group Boko Haram has seized a town and key multinational military base in north-eastern Nigeria, officials and eyewitnesses say.
A senator in Borno state said troops had abandoned the base in the town of Baga after it was attacked on Saturday.
Residents of Baga, who fled by boat to neighbouring Chad, said many people had been killed and the town set ablaze.
Baga, scene of a Nigerian army massacre in 2013, was the last town in the Borno North area under government control.
It hosted the base of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF), made up of troops from Nigeria, Chad and Niger.
Set up in 1998 to fight trans-border crime in the Lake Chad region, the force more recently took on Boko Haram.
Boko Haram attacks towns and villages on an almost daily basis, abducting people including young boys and girls, BBC Africa analyst Mary Harper reports.
The military, which includes Western advisers and surveillance, seems incapable of dealing with the problem, she adds.

HELTER SKELTER
Residents who fled to Chad said they had woken to heavy gunfire as militants stormed Baga early on Saturday, attacking from all directions.
They said they had decided to flee when they saw the multi-national troops running away.
One unnamed resident of the town described what had happened for the BBC:
"Yesterday at around 05:00 [04:00 GMT] we were woken up by heavy gunshots, and we couldn't identify where the shots were coming from.
"They came through the north, the west and from the southern part of the town because the eastern part is only water. So, when we [went] towards the western part, we saw heavily armed Boko Haram men coming towards us.
"The soldiers were trying to repel the attack but that wasn't going to happen because a lot of the soldiers were without their guns and some were running into the town. When you see soldiers running away into the town - what are you to do, other than to just run away as well?"
Maina Maaji Lawan, senator for Borno North, told BBC World Service civilians had run "helter skelter" - "some into the forest, some into the desert".
Communications with the town were cut off and exact information about casualty numbers could not be confirmed, he said.
"We are very dispirited," the senator added.
Confirming that the military had abandoned the base, he said people's frustration knew "no bounds" over the apparent fact that the military had not fought back.
"There is definitely something wrong that makes our military abandon their posts each time there is an attack from Boko Haram," the senator said.
